RACE OF LIFE

Sitting in the classroom like a real couch potato trying the words of education to enter your so-called encephalon. It never felt to me when I really started to think…Probably it starts from the very first day of our in this world…And then when we are born, names are provided later but the profession and school is thought of first. The three magical words of “Get Set Go” are then inscribed into our minds. What  Virus would have envisaged as “Life is a race, and you have to compete”. What are we turning then into…Cookers generating steam under pressure. I figure when I saw my classmates I saw all of them heading to go for an unvisualized race. What would  Darwin state as “Struggle for existence”. You are acknowledged on the basis of marks, grades and the number of positions so far achieved. Who would have asked you “Have you ever made any invention”. This is not the type of question one would generally ask. While I remember some of the mothers wailing over their children upon their tragedy of getting 98.99 from 99.99%.While early man survived through food, today’s race survives through grades.

Grades are called the elixir of life. We head to classroom and different tuitions just like beasts of burden, sit on the desks, read the lesson and then cram all. I still can say there would be at least 10% people who still remember the number and index of the page with the particular answer but who could have cared what the question is all about. The same case is of  Chatur. Where are we heading then? Fairyland of Utopia??? While Joy Lobo was one amongst all who put his efforts to acknowledge his creativity. Isn’t it satisfactorily to make ideas work? What will theory and notes do??? Fill your library of unessential written stuff. I do admit that one could not be a real life Ranchordas Chamaddhas Chachad alias Phunsukh Wangdo and be never born up with myriads of scientific ideas. But he still gives us the lesson of striving for excellence and not for the success. Ever noticed the fate on the day of examination. While some turn pale, some may even be so terrified to have to take their parents along (It was my case).Good grades good student otherwise andha. While  Rancho simply say to put your hands to your heart and just say All ijj well. While fear was feared by  Raju, he at the end made it clear that fear doesn’t favour success, it only poisons it. Fear of failure I think is more fearful indeed.

Can’t the education system change, can’t it be student friendly? In our engineering field I never felt that I love machines, for it is the matter that I don’t know machines but I know theory and same would be case of many engineers. Not just engineers but many professional people around. Some people are just trapped in wrong courses, what Farhan had done. At the end he followed his heart. He feared that his father Hitler Qureshi won’t allow but he made his rescue at right time. Know your aim at right time otherwise you would lament latter on. The whole nitty gritty of my this article is that I want some amendments to be made in our education system which is worth attributing the student cause. The impact of 3 idiots has now been felt and the world is awakening. The IIM changed its some of its stiff rules on seeing the initiative in 3 Idiots. But when will Kashmir wake???

THE ODDS OF A KASHMIRI

Why is it funny to live in Kashmir. Every morning I wake up, I think of my life and how I am still lazy and still a winner in all ...
